Dr. Snyder was raised in Kansas and graduated from Salina High School. He attended Kansas State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. He founded University Bird and Small Animal Clinic, now University Veterinary Care Center, in 1984. Dr. Snyder was trained in veterinary acupuncture at Colorado State University and has a special interest in alternative medicine and adipose stem cell therapy.
Dr. Snyder has recently transitioned to part-time hours after selling the practice to Dr. Gratton and Dr. Guernsey eagerly returning to his academic pursuits.
When asked what motivates him to do this job, he told us
"Veterinary medicine describes both my vocation and avocation."
