Requirements to Board

First an formost University Veterinary Care Center is a veterinary facility and puts our boarding patients at a higher risk of exposure. This is why we have strick requirements for our boarding pets and pet parents to follow without exception.

  • All boarding pets, regardless of species, must be a current patient of University Veterinary Care Center.
  • Canine, feline and ferret boarding patients must be current on all required boarding vaccinations at time of booking.
  • Special or prescription diets must be provided when dropped off.
  • University Veterinary Care Center is a flea free veterinary clinic. Any pet found to have fleas will be treated and subsequently charged.

Required Boarding Vaccinations

Canine Patients:

  1. Rabies
  2. DA2PPv (Annual Combination Vaccine)
  3. Bordetella

Feline Patients:

  1. Rabies
  2. FVRCCP (Annual Combination Vaccine)

Ferrets:

  1. Rabies
  2. Ferret Distemper

Drop-off and Pick-up

Patients can be dropped off as early as 7:30am Monday through Friday. We charge for boarding on half day increments and if picked up before noon your boarding charge will be prorated for that day. Boarding patients must be picked up before 6:00pm Monday through Friday or recieve an additional day of boarding charge. Saturday drop off and pick ups must occur between 8:00am and 11:30am.

Routine Wellness Care

Routine wellness and preventative care are provided on an annual basis for all patients of University Veterinary Care Center to maintain the patient's health as a whole. This can include; yearly physical examinations, vaccine boosters or titers, bloodwork, parasite checks, and dispensing of parasite preventative medication.
