Dr. Gratton grew up on beef cattle ranches in northeast Kansas and was involved in 4-H and FFA through high school. He attended Kansas State University where he received his doctorate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Since 1994, he has practiced veterinary medicine in Topeka, Kansas at University Veterinary Care Center. Dr. Gratton also has achieved certification in animal chiropractic in 2000 from Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and certification in small animal rehabilitation in 2012 from the Canine Rehabilitation Institue.
In the fall of 2016, Dr. Gratton became a co-owner of University Veterinary Care center, partnering with Dr. Amy Guenrsey.
When asked what motivates him to do this job, he told us
"It's the many friendships with so many different clients over the years as well as the ability to participate in the advancements of the veterinary field."
